The 70s detached style of pop-rock led to a more campy and self-conscious style music in the 80s. David Bowie and Roxy Music led to ABC. The English band from Sheffield continued to conquer the charts with other English New Romantics such as Duran Duran and The Human League with hit singles Poison Arrow, Look of Love and Be Near Me among about a dozen top 40 singles.
