About Albert King
The first guitar Albert King played on was one he built from a shoe box. Soon enough he would play Lucy, the name he gave his signature Gibson Flying V. His original style and unique voice was successful from early on in his professional recording career. Don't Throw Your Love On Me So Strong reached number 14 on the R&B charts in 1961. Other songs and albums reached mass audiences and received critical acclaim until Albert Green's death and even after it, with many posthumous album releases.
