What became the most severe trauma the Animals had during their career was when they had to fire their manager, Miki Most, because they felt that he was choosing songs for them that did not fit the overall feel of the band, even though many of the songs were a success. It was the song "It's My Life" which reached the number seven spot in Britain and had similar success in the US that cause the Animals to terminate their contract with most and to chose his replacement, and to go on to another record label.
