About Animals
It is hard to imagine the history of rock and roll if not for The House Of The Rising Sun, the classic song from the English group The Animals. The folk song, which actually dates back to the 20s, was recorded by many artists over the years. The version by The Animals released in 1964, was and probably is the most famous of all versions. The entire band arranged the version, although credit is usually given to keyboardist Alan Price. Rock classic covers would never sound the same after this.
