About Barry Manilow
During the early eighties the well of inspiration that was the lot of Barry Manilow began to run dry, but he did not let that deter him. Dropping from superstardom, he was no longer expected to make mainstream, hit albums. This left him free to explore new avenues. From the early eighties and onward, Barry Manilow continued to record steadily, mostly going for swing, pop standards, and Broadway show tunes.
