The heavy metal band of the late 60s, Blue Oyster Cult, which is still active these days, is best known for its literary connections. One of these is no other than Stephen King. A song by Blue Oyster Cult, called (Don't Fear) The Reaper from 1976, was featured in a film and TV series based on a King movie called The Stand. The movie, series, song and band all reached cult dimensions.
