After his original group came apart, Carlos Santana performed a live show in Hawaii with singer and drummer Buddy Miles, released in June 1972 as Carlos Santana & Buddy Miles! Live! In conjunction with the success of the Santana band, the album climbed to the Top Ten and ultimately became platinum.
