Chaka Khan is a popular pop, funk, R&B and jazz singer and songwriter that originates from Great Lakes, Illinois. In 1982, Chaka Khan recorded "Echoes Of An Era", a collection of jazz standards featuring performances from Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea and Lenny White. 1983 saw Khan return to Rufus to record her last contractually obligated album "Stompin' At The Savoy: Live".
