Children of Bodom is a well-known musical group from Espoo, Finland. The band's musical style can be characterized as a blend of heavy metal, melodic death metal and neo-classical. Children of Bodom were founded in 1993 by guitarist Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho and drummer Jaska Raatikainen under the name of IneartheD. Both musicians had known each other since their childhood and had shared an interest in heavy metal.
