About Christian Charlie
Charlie Christian is a very successful musician and guitarist from Bonham, Texas. His musical style can be described as a combination of swing and bebop. In 1939, Charlie Christian auditioned for record producer John Hammond, who recommended Christian to bandleader Benny Goodman. Goodman was important in that he was the first white bandleader to feature black musicians.
