The song was a hit, and enabled Christina Aguilera to record a song for soundtrack of the Disney film, Mulan. Her self titled debut album was released in the summer of 1999, with teen pop all the rage. The lead single 'Genie in a Bottle' shot to the top of the charts for five weeks and the album sold eight million copies.
