Creedence Clearwater Revival were around only until 1972, but their music lives on in repeated playing by their fans, references by musicians and cover versions of their songs. Perhaps the most famous Creedence Clearwater Revival song of all, Proud Mary, has received over 100 cover versions by artists since its release to this day. The most successful of these cover versions in turn is by Tina and Ike Turner.
