About De La Soul
Posdnuos, Dave and Maseo met up in Long Island when still in school and soon then after in 1989 released what would be seen as an earthquake in the hip hop scene, although of the positive, joyful kind. De La Soul mixed eclectic styles and genres, sampled jazz and sand rap, jazzing up the hip hop of the day. The three plugs, as De La Soul members were regarded, have brought James Brown ever closer to rappers with their positive approach and funky music.
