About Frank Zappa
The genius, if eccentric, musicians Frank Zappa has rocked the rock scene like few others have since the 50s and to his death in 1993. Frank Zappa claimed to be the one who taught another guitar great, Jimi Hendrix, to use the Wah-Wah effect when they met in New York in 1966. Hendrix would give Zappa the guitar he burnt on stage at the 1968 Miami Pop Festival, which Zappa would put together again and play extensively during the 1970s and 1980s.
