About Gang Of Four
Gang of Four are an English post-punk group, with German and New York influences. Stylistically, as is clear by their stripped down music, minimalist aesthetics and eclectic influences, Gang of Four are under the spell of the neo-Marxist Frankfurt School of social criticism. Musically they were clearly impressed by seeing Television and The Ramones live, when visiting the Big Apple in their college days.
