About Garbage
Scottish/American rock group Garbage was only a jam session at first. Formed in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1994, Butch Vig and friends got together to record some alternative rock music with pop sensitivity, crossing between Sonic Youth and a more mainstream listening audience. This was further advanced when Garbage recruited charismatic and gorgeous vocalist Shirley Manson.
