About Otis Redding
Following several recordings, it was 1962 in which Otis Redding made his first mark on the music scene. The American soul singer had a song of his recorded by Johnny Jenkins. The song, These Arms of Mine, became a minor hit and had Otis Redding join the record label and book concerts. He would continue releasing even greater hits, with Mr. Pitiful, I Can't Turn You Loose and Try a Little Tenderness before her fatal plane crash in 1967.
