About Shaggy
Jamaican-born Shaggy emigrated with his family to Brooklyn and as an American even fought with the Marines in the first Gulf War. Soon after his return from the Middle East, Shaggy already returned to normalcy, with his first song released, Oh Carolina, making it to the top of the British charts, setting the tone for the coming years in Shaggy's career, which saw several other #1 songs – It Wasn't Me, Angel and Boombastic.
