About Stereolab
Stereolab may record some esoteric music, which draws influences from 50s pop, German krautrock and French philosophers, but it does not at all stand in a vacuum. Blur and Pavement are two bands who Stereolab influenced, with their sound instrumental in developing their own. Unfortunately, Stereolab were never able to crossover to larger markets, beyond their fan base and the bands mentioned above, keeping to an independent ethos.
