About U2
From the early, straight-up, youthful guitar driven rock of Boy and October, U2 moved on to in-you-face political song Sunday bloody Sunday on their opening track of War, their third album released in 1983. The loss of innocence in their lyrics and themes would carry over in later albums, in which U2 would develop a more mature sound, at times more personal (The Joshua Tree), other times more folk and American blues oriented (Rattle and Hum), before venturing in electronica with Achtung Baby and Zooropa.
