About Wham
Wham is credited a lot of influence in the shape the 80s took, with pop taking the main-stage, and are said to have planted the seeds from which the boy bands of the late 90s sprung. Wham reached the top of both the US and the UK charts with the 1984 single Wake Me up Before You Go Go, immediately becoming the new thing in pop and creating what is considered the Wham effect of 80s pop.
