Yes were listed with Led Zeppelin by Tony Wilson in 1968 as the two bands most likely to succeed. The group was then mainly a cover band, taking other people's songs and drastically changing them with a progressive rock twist. This helped Yes show their sense of style, melodies and futuristic sound, before continuing for decades to come as a truly original band.
